SHOP SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY NOVEMBER 24, 2018

SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY IS THIS WEEKEND!  This is the weekend to think about what you are buying and determine if you can buy it locally. Support local retailers vs the big box stores. Your money will benefit a local family when you shop locally.

Shopping locally means you are helping a business employ a local person. Something being shipped from another city employs a person but that person is not spending money they earn in your market. Spending money locally supports the local economy. Keeping the stores open locally provides jobs and also provides taxes for schools, infrastructure, and a myriad of services.

We get swept up into the convenience of online shopping, I know, because I am guilty. Perhaps if we take action to shop locally this one Saturday it will have some lasting effect on our buying habits.  Maybe we will consider making an effort to do so again.

Hi Dora Griffin I love shopping locally and in small shops where the owner knows your name and my shopping there helps them keep their doors open....

Mom and Pop built this country so it is time we get back to supporting them

Barbara Todaro, my favorite small shop is the local family owned drug store I go to for prescriptions and other items. Friendly faces and great service . I'm thankful for them.
